Many boarding facilities require a meet and greet for the sole purpose of accessing your dog's temperament around other dogs and their employees. I delve into their likes, dislikes, preferences, as well as any noises or actions that may cause your dog to become uncomfortable or frightened, and what actions are taken to comfort your dog. In addition, we will discuss your dog's breed or dominant trait for mixed breeds and what a normal day looks for your dog. All the information obtained at the meet and greet is used to create your dog's personalized plan. You will receive a copy of the personalized plan for your review and approval before your dog attends dog daycare or boarding, ​

Every dog spends time daily outdoors, in a spacious kennel-free, but secure backyard or inside participating in enrichment games with other dogs, while maintaining structure in their schedule. Your dog's daily schedule will also provide for one on one time, that's customized to give your dog an experience it loves the most.

Their nights are spent in a real home with couches to lay on and real beds to sleep in and every minute of it with canine and human companionship and NEVER left alone. Every evening your dog will be read a bedtime story and tucked in, with a hug and a kiss with loving words of how much they're loved and missed.

I only accept a limited number of dogs daily ensuring my commitment to providing unprecedented care and individual attention to each and every dog. Every dog is different and has their own needs. I want your dog to have a special type of connection with me so it can feel at ease and be 100% itself like home.

Muddy Pawz Resort follows strict protocols to ensure your dog's health and safety. This includes verifying all dog's vaccinations and health checks are up to date, daily cleaning and disinfecting using a veterinarian grade cleaner, both inside and outside, along with all toys and bedding. In addition to inspecting for any hazards both inside and outside. A monthly review of procedures to follow in case of an emergency (specifically weather related), followed by actual practice drills.

At Muddy Pawz Resort I'm here to provide what traditional dog daycares don't. Traditional daycares are a recipe for a disaster waiting to happen and risking your dog's health and safety. I provide a safe and healthy home with enriching experiences, no overcrowding chaos, a revolving door of new employees you and your dog aren't bonded with, undertrained staff, and endless hours of over stimulation. I provide enrichment that meets your dog's natural instinct, engages their brains, and providing outlets for physical, mental, and emotional needs. A resort that is designed to build confidence, reduce stress, create a well rounded, happy dog while having the opportunity to try new experiences.
BOARDING
At my home, your dog's boarding resort, I provide the utmost comfort and care for your beloved dog. The resort offers a warm and welcoming second home for your dog. A resort where your dog is free to roam, relax, and feel at ease where they will never be confined to a crate or kennel. Your dog will have full access of the downstairs and spacious backyard where they can stretch out, explore, and settle where they feel most comfortable. Whether it's snuggling up on the furniture, sleeping in my cozy bed, or curling up on the dog beds in the front window, your dog will find the perfect spot that is just like home.

My name is Joyce Osborne
I am the owner of Muddy Pawz Resort. I grew up with dogs and from as far back as I can remember. I've always felt a strong kinship with dogs. From a young age, I had a love for dogs and found much enjoyment in spending time with the them. I can't remember a time when we didn't have a dog growing up. Caring for the dogs we had during my childhood sparked an interest in me, which led me to working as a vet technician during my years in high school and would later lead me to pet sitting on the weekends while working in corporate America. Neller, my yellow labrador retriever, was the first dog I got as an adult on my own. She still stole my heart and although she departed for the rainbow bridge many years ago, she still holds a very dear place in my heart. She taught me about dog management, leadership, the importance of daily enrichment, and what true unwavering unconditional love looks and feels like. My years spent with Neller by my side and dog sitting (in home and away) deepened my knowledge of dogs daily needs and how to manage multiple dogs with different personalities while in the same environment.
Through the years when I had to board my dogs, I knew there had to be a happier way to provide for the boarding of dogs. Further believing that being cage free was simply not good enough for the dogs, they needed more. Everything must not only look first class, but it MUST feel first class. It must absolutely be above and beyond the best of the best for the dogs, they more than deserve it. There was always something 'missing' from other facilities.
Its out of my empathy for dogs that Muddy Pawz Resort came to life. I would not only meet my client's expectations regarding your dog's stay at the resort, I would do better than I had to do. My disposition toward customer satisfaction can be felt by every client that visits the resort, but I am insistent that it has to be felt by the dogs that are here for dog daycare or for boarding, also.
Dogs feel stress any time they are confined, even in fancy suites, and do not find this type of boarding nearly enriching,, and for this reason I do not do it. Although this type of boarding would be easier, less costly, more profitable for me, I will not do it. I'm a firm believer in quality over quantity.
